Membership Packages

Consummate Writer 

For the writer read to create the discipline & practice needed to take their writing to the next level.​​

  • Weekly access to our writer's cafe (in person & online)

  • Bi-Monthly access to story lab: writer's training program

  • Complimentary herbal tea & wifi connectivity 

  • Onsite access to our extensive writing aid materials library including onsite access to the Cottage's  Masterclass subscription (learn from some of the most prolific writers in every genre)

  • Access to Creator's Cottage laptop loan program (must have credit card on file to participate) 

  • 10% discount on space rentals, artist retreats & CC events

$1.37 per day

Membership fee: $500 per year 

Exploring Artist

For the artist trying to find their groove. Whether it's with pen, paper, or fabric, this level give the most accessibility to grow & play.

  • All benefits listed in Consummate Writer package 

  • Invitation to join The Memory Collectors Storytelling Project, as well as participate in quarterly Crafty Chica Night programing 

  • Access to weekly open arts lab events held @ the Cottage 

  • Off Campus access to our extensive textile books library (credit card must be on file to participate) 

  • On site access to The Creator's Cottage Crafty Courses library subscription 

  • Invitation to start crafty clubs @ The Cottage

  • 15% discount on room rentals and artist retreats ​

Membership fee: $1000 per year 

Practicing Artist

For the artist who knows their niche & needs dedicated studio space & access to equipment to grow in their craft.

  • Everything listed in package 1 & 2 plus 

  • Off-campus access to Creator's Cottage extensive lending tool library (valid credit card must be on file to participate) 

  • After hours access to the Cottage & individualized studio time 

  • Practicing Artists are invited to host open Arts Labs

  • Choose between yearly overnight artist retreat or a hosted playdate @ the Cottage with up to 10 guests 

  • First consideration for teaching opportunities & paid events 

  • 20% discount on room rentals, retreats & art conferences sponsored by the Cottage

$6.85 per day

Membership fee: $2500 per year 

Professional Artist

As the ancient proverb says: if you want to go far, go together.  This level provides guild membership for those artists that have been 'going-it-alone' in their fields for many years. There is something very healing & affirming about coming late community with like-minded artists. Perfect fir the artist ready to soar. 

  • All benefits of the above packages  +

  • ​Annual 3 day overnight personal artist retreat @ the Cottage 

  • 1 yearly event @ the Cottage with up to 20 guests (member events subject to Cottage calendar availability

  • Invitation to join the vision board (think tank that provides group mentoring & accountability for working artists)

  • 25% discount on room rentals, retreat packages and conferences sponsored by The Cottage (discount does not apply to book coaching, publishing packages or printing packages)

Professional Writer

For the writer who has been practicing their craft, honing their words in secret and is now ready to present their masterpiece to the world. In this package you'll receive individualized 1:1 coaching from a seasoned book coach & editor. Perfect for writers writing for publication. Manuscript submission required. 

  • Personalized 1:1 book coaching (services include complete manuscript review (non-fiction) or book proposal review (non-fiction) & 10 months of editorial development work on a project) 

  • Annual 3-day overnight writer's retreat (including personalized writing retreat plan) 

  • Invitation to join the online Monthly IP Author Group Coaching & Accountability Circle

  • 25% discount on room rentals, retreat packages and conferences sponsored by The Cottage (discount does not apply to book coaching, publishing packages or printing packages)  

Membership fee: $5000 per year 

Artist @ Large

Perfect for the artist/writer who lives outside of Wisconsin but wants to connect with our community, or patron of the arts who wants to support the work of The Creator's Cottage. 

Live outside of Wisconsin? No problem you can still become a member. For the same price either our Consummate Writer or Exploring Artist membership, you can join us for online programming and plan your next Self-guided Writing Retreat or Artist Get-away in Madison, WI. The Artist @ Large Package includes a 2-night Artist Retreat  in either the Rain Suite or the Samuel Suite (package upgrade to Judah suite available). Must live 60 miles outside of Madison to claim overnight retreat feature of tis membership.
